The Talaab (Pond) Ring is a unique three-piece crawler ring that represents the different layers of an ecosystem - in this case, the pond. The bottom layer features an Indian turtle, catfish, and algae, found in the depths of the pond. The middle layer is the surface of the water - where a lazy dragonfly hovers over a lotus while a frog leaps from pad to pad. On the top layer, a bird flies by, oblivious to the worlds beneath it.
The ring is crafted in 18 carat gold and features intricate gold carving and ceramic work done by hand in Mumbai, India. It also features 0.16 carats of diamonds (a 0.05 carat rosecut diamond on the body of the turtle as well as 0.11 carats of diamonds embellishing the dragonfly and frog) and 0.03 carats of rubies on the dragonfly as well.
